2 Years of Quilts Unscripted Bee from Goer

A little history on the Quilts Unscripted Bee and my personal history with quilt bees...

I’m a joiner. I love people and enjoy creating community. (I also love bold color.) Cheers from QuiltCon!

Way back on 2014 when I was a new quilt blogger and starting to connect with others in the online quilting community, I started participating in quilt bees (and quilt swaps, but that's a conversation for another day).

Quilts Unscripted Bee Quilts from Goer

In June 2021, Ellyn and I started the Quilts Unscripted Bee. Currently we have 11 improv quilters and each month we create 2-3 improv blocks for one quilter. I've been so excited to see finished quilts and quilt tops in recent months that I wanted to share them with you. My beemates have shared their photos with me. Enjoy!

Summer Stars Quilt Bee Quilt from A Little Bit Biased

 I finally got some pictures of my finished New Friends Quilt Bee quilt
and today, I'd like to share all the details of this project with you!


In January of 2021, I reached out to a bunch of people on 
Instagram and asked them if they wanted to join a quilt bee with me.
Some said yes and some said no.  In the end, I got 9 people
that wanted to join - for a total of 10 people including me.
I think there are usually 12 people in this kind of bee but I

I Joined a Quilt Bee! from Goer

Three years ago I took a break from online quilt bees. And honestly, I've missed it. A couple months ago I reached out to friends in The Solid Seven quilt bee on Instagram and I was immediately welcomed into the group. A couple members are women who were in the bee with me back in 2015-2016. It's fun to be sewing for quilty friends again.
